Gift card operator
The Sheffield Gift Card is operated by Sheffield’s Business Improvement District (Sheffield BID). The legal entity is Sheffield City Centre BID Limited (company no. 09601967, whose registered office is No. 1 Velocity 2 Tenter Street, Sheffield, England, S1 4BY).

Gift cards
The Sheffield Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. It cannot be exchanged for cash. Orders can only be delivered to a UK address. The Gift Card can only be redeemed at participating businesses in Sheffield city centre. (Where to spend)

Gift cards are supplied in a branded gift card holder which the purchaser can add a personal message to upon receipt. Customers asking for a gift card to be shipped directly to a recipient may include a personal message in the “order notes” field.

Order processing
Please note that any order placed before 2pm Monday to Friday will be processed on the same day. Orders placed after 2pm Monday to Friday will be processed on the next working day. Orders are not processed over the weekend or on Bank Holidays.

Delivery options
When ordering a Sheffield Gift Card you will be able to select your preferred delivery option. Costs include an administration fee. Orders are despatched via Royal Mail.

1st Class: Orders received by 2pm will be delivered the next working day, including Saturday. This option does not require a signature and there is no proof of delivery. There is no compensation with this delivery option.

2nd Class: Orders received by 2pm will be delivered within three working days, including Saturday. This option does not require a signature and there is no proof of delivery. There is no compensation with this delivery option.

Signed For 1st Class: Orders received by 2pm will be delivered the next working day, including Saturday. The recipient will need to sign for the package upon delivery. Compensation cover up to £50 is included on this delivery option.

Special Delivery Next Day by 1pm: Orders received by 2pm are guaranteed for delivery by 1pm the next working day, excluding Saturday. The recipient will need to sign for the package upon delivery. Compensation cover up to £500 is included on this delivery option.

Cards lost in transit
If you have not received your Gift Card please email info@sheffieldgiftcard.co.uk,  Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm). We will endeavour to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

Data protection
Sheffield BID complies with data protection legislation. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and retain a solicitor to advice on data protection. Our policies are compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Customer service and operational updates
In line with the existing ePrivacy Directive, we will use your personal information as an existing customer to keep you informed about our services through email communications relevant to content on the website or to keep you informed of relevant changes to the service, which may also include planned outages and operational changes to the website or changes to our order processing.

If you do not want to receive such communications, please inform us at info@sheffieldgiftcard.co.uk. You will also be able to unsubscribe through the emails you receive.

Marketing permissions
We may also use your personal data to keep you informed of relevant promotions (including competitions) which you may be interested in. If you want to receive such marketing communications, your specific consent must be given when you place your first order through this site.

What are my rights?

Once you have provided us with your data it is stored, processed and retained in accordance with our policies to provide you with the service you have requested.  You can apply for a copy of your data at any time by contacting the Data Protection Officer at manager@sheffieldbid.com.  We will comply with any current data legislation by adopting reasonable methods of checking your identity and providing you with such data as you are legally entitled to within appropriate timescales.

Do I have any other rights?

Yes. You have the right to be informed about how we collect, store and use data. Our privacy statement on this website provides that information. You also have the right to require us to rectify or update information about you which is inaccurate (but as we hold limited information for a limited period we will not update our records unless you ask us to). You do not have an automatic right to require us to delete your data before our usual deletion period, but we will always try to accommodate such a request if we can. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
